Message of Support for our AEU colleagues

As an employee in the non-government school sector I respectfully call on the government to significantly improve its response to the AEU's claims in the current EA negotiations. The government sector determines education industry benchmarks for salary and conditions. I do not believe the current pay offer properly values the work of SA's school staff. By extension this offer also undervalues my work. SA pay rates need to be nationally competitive and at the moment SA teachers are the nation's lowest paid. This does nothing to support the profession or good educational outcomes. I call on the government to make a revised offer which more meaningfully addresses the issues on the table.

Sincerely,                 Name ……………,            School ……………
