ELECTION NOTICE

Workplace Relations Act 1996

Nominations are called for:

SECRETARY

ORDINARY MEMBERS OF THE BRANCH EXECUTIVE (11)

DELEGATES TO THE FEDERAL COUNCIL (3)

Written nominations, which comply with the Rules of the Organisation, open on 23 July 2007 and must reach me not later than 4.00 pm on Monday, 13 August 2007. They cannot be withdrawn after this date.

Nomination Forms are available on request.

 Candidates’ Statements. Candidates may include with their nomination a statement not exceeding 200 words, containing only the candidate’s personal history and/or policy statement, and/or a passport-sized photograph. Candidates’ statements will be distributed with ballot material. Statements and photographs can be submitted by email to carol.seely@aec.gov.au.

The ballot, if required, will open on Monday, 10 September 2007 and close at Noon on Tuesday, 2 October 2007.

Note: 1.   A copy of the AEC’s election report can be obtained from the organisation or from me after the completion of the election.

            2.   The Federal Officers, other than the Federal Executive members, are elected by and from the Federal Council members.
