IEU(SA) negotiators met with the LERG negotiators and the
Employers negotiating team on Thursday 24 May to table our respective
claims.
Key areas of your employer’s position:
* Removal of restrictions around casual employment and
fixed term contracts
* Reduction of Long Service Leave rates to 1.3 weeks per year
* Effective use of NIT time
* Performance Management
* Teacher Registration requirements to be done in teacher’s own time
* More Professional Development to be done in teacher’s own time
* No change to AST criteria
* Changes yet to be proposed for LSO classification structure
* Salary ‘in line’ with DECS
